Fall Foliage Cruise

aboard the Regal Princess
plus New York City

Tour Highlights

This cruise, which begins and ends in New York City, sails along the New England coastline, and back through Canada's Maritime Provinces, showing us the spectacular array of fall colours, with plenty of opportunities for sightseeing in some of North America's most historic cities.

We will sail aboard one of the grandest ships in the Princess Line, the Regal Princess.  With features never seen before, this floating resort is the “creme de la creme” of cruise ships. Facilities of the ship include three state-of-the-art show lounges for evening entertainment, "Movies under the Stars" outdoor theatre, a casino, 3 swimming pools and 6 whirlpools. Take a walk on the Seawalk - a glass walkway hovering over the ocean. The ultra deluxe glass-walled health centre is on the upper deck with panoramic views.

Dining on this ship has set new standards with three main dining rooms, a 24-hour indoor/outdoor Lido restaurant for casual evenings, an outdoor grill, pizzeria, Sabatini's Italian Trattoria, Crown Grill, a patisserie, wine and caviar bar and gelateria.

The staterooms are spacious and exquisitely furnished.  All rooms have twin beds that easily convert to a queen size bed if required, TV with in-house movies, individual climate control, refrigerator, telephone, in-room safe and bathrooms with showers only.

Following our cruise we will enjoy an overnight at a hotel in the heart of Manhattan, including a guided city tour, an afternoon at leisure and our Farewell Dinner.

* All shore excursions are optional, and may be purchased in advance on Princess Cruises’ website, or onboard the ship.

Tentative Itinerary

We depart for New York and upon arrival we transfer to our floating resort, the Regal Princess. This evening we enjoy our first delicious dinner on board.
The lovely New England town of Newport is best known for its opulent mansions (many of which are now museums) built by America’s rich and famous in the 1890’s. This is a delightful town in which to stroll.
America’s most historic city offers such legendary attractions as Paul Revere’s home, Beacon Hill and the Bunker Hill Monument.
Bar Harbor is Maine’s best known ocean resort. Follow the scenic loop road through Acadia National Park or visit the Abbe Native Museum and trace Indian history.
We cruise up the Bay of Fundy to the loyalist city of Saint John. Here you will delight in the historic waterfront, high cliffs overlooking the sea, solitary lighthouses and rugged scenery. Enjoy a stroll along the Loyalist Trail.
The capital of Nova Scotia is a charming mix of old and new. You may wish to visit the Citadel – the fortress guarding the city and harbour, or perhaps an excursion to Peggy’s Cove – home to the most photographed lighthouse in the world.
Relax and enjoy all of the activities and entertainment on board our ship.
We disembark the ship in New York and embark on our half day city sightseeing tour, during which we will see Times Square, Central Park, the Empire State Building and many other well known sights. After our tour we proceed to our hotel, the Hampton Inn Manhattan Empire State Building. The afternoon is at leisure. Our hotel is located in the heart of mid-town Manhatten - convenient for exploring the city. This evening is our Farewell Dinner.
After breakfast we transfer to the airport where Air Canada takes us home.
