Hawaiian Island Cruise

aboard the Star Princess

Tour Highlights

Cruising is an ideal way to explore the tropical paradise of Hawaii.
On this cruise, we visit the big island of Hawaii - known for its orchids and volcanoes, Maui - with its green hills and gentle valleys, Kauai (The Garden Isle), and Oahu for the excitement of Honolulu.

Our ship for this cruise program, theStar Princess, has all the amenities of a 5-star resort hotel. Take a dip in one of the pools, whirlpool and massage in the Spa. Activities include dance lessons, aerobics, golf simulator, wine tasting, first-run movies and much more. Shoppers will enjoy the variety of boutiques and duty-free bargains. Relax in the library or lounge on the Promenade Deck and watch the passing scenery. Turn on your in-cabin entertainment system for information about each port to help you decide on optional excursions.

The chefs are renowned for their international cuisine, and you will be delighted with the dining options; formal elegance in the dining room, 24-hour dining, the Pizzeria, Crown Grill and the fantastic buffets. As for entertainment, enjoy after dinner drinks in one of the elegant lounges with music to suit every taste, Broadway-style shows, dancing or the casino.

The staterooms are spacious and exquisitely furnished, with TV with in-house movies, individual climate control, fridge, telephone, safe and private bathroom. Mini-Suites also have a comfortable sitting area and large private balcony.

* All shore excursions are optional and may be purchased in advance on Princess Cruises’ website, or onboard the ship.

Tentative Itinerary

We depart for Los Angeles. Upon arrival we transfer to our Princess cruise ship which sails later in the afternoon. This evening we enjoy our first delicious dinner on board.
Time now to enjoy the many pleasures of our cruise ship. Pamper yourself in the Spa, play a game of shuffleboard, take some time for golf or partake in afternoon tea. Browse the boutiques, take in a movie at the theatre or just curl up in a deck chair with a good book - a time honoured seafaring tradition.
On the lush rainforest side of Hawaii's Big Island, the "City of Rainbows" offers a look at the power and beauty of nature. You may enjoy the breathtaking views of the 420 foot thundering Akaka Falls or drive around Crater Rim at Volcanoes National Park.
Honolulu is Hawaii’s largest city and the state capital. It is probably most famous for its main beach - Waikiki Beach. You may want to visit Iolani Palace, the only royal palace on U.S. soil, or see the USS Arizona Memorial and the "Mighty Missouri" at Pearl Harbour.
The oldest inhabited island in Hawaii, the "Garden Isle" boasts Waimea Canyon, known as "The Grand Canyon of the Pacific". You may want to take a boat ride on the Wailua River or visit Fern Grotto and hear a performance of "The Hawaiian Wedding Song".
Maui is the second largest of the Hawaiian Islands. It's largest town, Lahaina, was once a whaling port and now a lovely resort area. It is a great place in which to stroll. The surrounding hills are planted with sugar cane and pineapple and the excellent beaches welcome those who like to swim. Well worth a visit is the Haleakala Crater, the highest point on the island.
We leave Hawaii and begin our cruise back to the mainland. Be watchful for whales and dolphins. We have not had a lot of time during these past 4 days to enjoy everything our ship has to offer, but as we head for Los Angeles you will be able to catch up. Relax and enjoy all the activities, facilities and entertainment on board.
This friendly port on the Baja Peninsula boasts more than just a warm Mediterranean climate. Optional excursions will be offered to La Fufadora Blowhole and Bodegas de Santo Tomas, Baja’s oldest winery.
Farewell to our friends on our Princess cruise ship as we disembark and transfer to the airport for our flight home.
