Tour Highlights

Blessed with a warm, sunny climate year-round and friendly, hospitable people (nearly all of whom speak English), the charming island of Malta has been a favourite vacation spot of the British for many years.
Located in the heart of the Mediterranean off the coast of Sicily, Malta has played host to a great many cultures - Roman, Greek, Arab and of course British, all leaving their mark on its historic monuments, architecture and ancient sites. There are many areas for you to explore on your own, and there is an extremely efficient and inexpensive bus system that traverses the island, which makes exploring easy and fun. There are many attractions, including the picturesque harbour, the narrow shopping streets of Sliema, the casino and colourful craft markets.

We stay at the First Class Dolmen Hotel, a seaside resort hotel located right on the promenade overlooking the Bay of St. Paul. The small town of Buggiba is just a few minutes walk from the hotel and offers a variety of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. The local bus terminal is also a short walk away, and local buses go to St. Julian's and Sliema (16 km. from Buggiba) on a regular basis. The Dolmen's facilities include comfortable lounges, restaurants, coffee shop / wine bar, indoor pool, sauna, gym, tennis courts, casino and an outdoor pool surrounded by sunning terraces.

Daytime activities include exercise classes, quizzes, bingo and other games. For evening entertainment there is live music 4 nights a week.

The comfortable guestrooms are all seaview and contemporary in design with air conditioning and heating, direct dial phone, satellite TV, mini bar and safe (small charge applies). The private bathroom has a tub, shower and hairdryer.

*** Those joining any of our tours to Europe must be able to walk fairly long distances and climb stairs easily.
