Tour Highlights

Join us this Holiday Season as we journey through the musical heart of America - better known as “The Mojo Triangle”. 
This region, between New Orleans, Memphis and Nashville, is the musical birthplace of Country, Blues, Jazz and Rock n’ Roll. We begin with a 4-night stay in Nashville – the “Country Music Capital of the World”. Our stay at the Gaylord Opryland Resort depicts the spirit of the Holiday Season with more than two-million dazzling lights. We’ll visit Honky Tonk Row, The Grand Ole Opry and enjoy some musical productions including one at the famous Ryman Auditorium!

Then it’s off to Memphis - “Birthplace of the Blues” and “Home of Rock n’ Roll”. Of course en route we will stop at Graceland to visit the residence of Elvis Presley. In Memphis we will stay 2 nights near the famous Peabody Hotel where we can view the delightful “Peabody Duck March” – ongoing daily since the 1930’s! A Mojo Tour (led by Memphis musicians) will have us laughing and singing along, as we tour the city, including Beale Street, Sun Studios and more. 

After a stay in the beautiful antebellum town of Natchez, Mississippi we proceed to New Orleans for our final 4 nights. The city that gave the world Jazz, Bourbon Street, Creole culture and Oysters Rockefeller has a style all its own. Our stay will include a tour with a visit to one of New Orleans’ unique cemeteries, a New Years Eve Dinner with Jazz entertainment, a Jazz Cruise along the Mississippi and more. Enjoy the holiday spirit as you stroll in the romantic old-world streets, Jackson Square or The French Market. Our First Class hotel, the Maison Dupuy, is centrally located right in the French Quarter near a host of world famous restaurants. 

Tentative Itinerary

We depart for Nashville, and upon arrival transfer to our hotel - the Gaylord Opryland Resort. This evening is our Welcome Dinner at the hotel.
Our hotel is bursting with holiday happenings. In the afternoon we begin with a visit to “ICE” - an indoor winter wonderland featuring amazing ice sculptures. Then we enjoy a Broadway holiday production, and in the evening we head over to the historic Ryman Auditorium – the “Mother Church of Country Music” for a special “Opry” show!
Morning at leisure. This afternoon we board the largest showboat in the U.S. - the almighty General Jackson to enjoy a great holiday meal, entertainment and wonderful views. A lovely Christmas Eve dinner awaits us this the evening!
We tour Nashville to see why it is among the world’s top 10 travel destinations! We begin with a visit to The Country Music Hall of Fame, which showcases Nashville’s contribution to the music industry. We then visit the historic RCA Studio (Elvis recorded over 200 songs here). After a stroll down the Music City Walk of Fame and along Honky Tonk Highway, we will enjoy some free time. Perhaps pop into a museum, like the George Jones or Johnny Cash Museum - very entertaining! This evening we enjoy a Country Christmas Dinner and Show!
We depart for Graceland - home of Elvis Presley. Elvis has sold over 1 billion records worldwide, more than anyone in music history. We will tour his house and cars, and have lunch onsite before continuing to our centrally located Memphis hotel for a 2-night stay. This evening we will walk over to the the Kings Palace Café on historic Beal Street, which is known for its music and lively street entertainment.
We begin with a memorable musical “Mojo Tour” of Memphis, where Rock & Roll began. Included will be a visit of Sun Studio where Elvis recorded his first song, and we will see the places in the city that influenced him and his music Later we visit the Rock & Soul Museum, and see the famous “Peabody Duck March”.
We head for beautiful and historic Natchez – an antebellum town on the banks of the Mississippi. En route we will stop in Clarksdale at the Delta Blues Museum where we hear the fascinating life stories of Jerry Lee Lewis, Aaron Neville, Conway Twitty, Fats Domino and many others. In Natchez we enjoy a horse-drawn carriage tour of the city, ending at the historic Glenfield Plantation where we will be welcomed by the 5th generation owner who will guide us through her fine Southern home and serve up a true Southern dinner!
We proceed to the unique Frogmore Plantation and Gin - designated one of the top Must-See places in the south! This working cotton plantation takes us from the 1850’s (when the plantation was worked by slaves) to a modern day computerized gin. Enjoy the stories and join in with the music, pick a bowl of cotton, visit the slave cabins and learn about plantation life. After our lunch at Dunleith Plantation (or similar), we proceed to the Jazz capital – New Orleans!
We begin with a lively Jazz Brunch at the landmark Court of Two Sisters, followed by a guided city tour to learn how this melting pot of French, Spanish, African and Cajun people are reflected in the architecture, cuisine and culture. We will see the beautiful Garden District and visit Mardi Gras World to go behind the scenes of the amazing Mardi Gras Floats and learn about Carnival history. In the evening you may enjoy one of the many local eateries like the iconic legendary Arnaud’s or stop at Pat O’Brian’s for a “Hurricane”!
Our unique walking tour that takes us behind the locked doors to the secret Courtyards of the French Quarter.  These secluded courtyards depict the mysterious and remarkable lives of generations of Creoles. Included will be a visit to the St. Louis Cemetery where the tomb of the famous Voodoo priestess Marie Laveau is buried! We end our tour at the famous New Orleans Cooking School where we learn about the local cuisine and enjoy a creole lunch. Tonight we enjoy a festive New Year’s dinner and Jazz band.
Today is at leisure to enjoy the French District, explore Bourbon Street or hop on the tram to the River Walk and French Market to the site of New Orleans most infamous Slave Market. Ask your Tour Manager for suggestions. This evening is our Farewell Dinner-Cruise along the lazy Mississippi aboard the grand Natchez Steamboat, featuring fine Jazz entertainment!
