Our cruise weaves a connecting link from the magnificent 1000 Islands and St. Lawrence Seaway, to the rich French culture of Quebec, while navigating the incredible International St. Lawrence Seaway and it’s locks.
En route we will discover the historical roots of “Loyalist Brockville”, the unique living community of Upper Canada Village, and vibrant Montreal. Following our cruise we’ll enjoy a two night stay in Quebec City - a designated UNSECO World Heritage Site with over 400 years of history. We will enjoy a city tour and time on our own to explore the walled city’s shops, bistros, and art galleries.
Our riverboat, the moderate MV Canadian Empress, is a small intimate ship especially built for cruising the St. Lawrence River. This classic replica steamboat-style ship combines modern engineering with charming Victorian-era style decor. Aboard our fully air-conditioned ship you may relax on the Sun Deck, enjoy a game of shuffleboard, parlour games or kite flying. There are also observation areas to take in the beautiful scenery. Each evening there will be comedic, cultural or magical entertainment.
Dining onboard includes three meals daily with coffee and tea, and domestic wine and beer with all lunches and dinners. Afternoon tea and snacks are offered as well.
The cabins onboard have fixed twin beds, private bathroom with shower only, opening windows or portholes, individual climate control, and sound system.
* Client must be fit and active, and must be able to climb stairs easily. There are no elevators on the ship, and the included shore excursions require quite a bit of walking.
