We see fields of vibrant flowers, picture-postcard harbours and quaint historic towns with the local folk dressed in traditional costume. April is "Tulip Time" in Holland when the tulips, in a blaze of colour, carpet the countryside. The famous Kuekenhof Bulb Gardens has spectacular displays of tulips and other bulb plants.
An added-value feature of this cruise is that all excursions are included and expertly guided in English. Exclusive old world highlights on board include folklore entertainment, lectures, theme dinners, welcome and farewell cocktail receptions and a Captain’s Gala dinner.
A big advantage to riverboat cruising is in the central docking facilities at each port of call that makes the disembarkation and exploration of each destination quite effortless. Our riverboat is the MS Amadeus Queen. On this deluxe floating hotel you may relax in the lounge, Panorama Bar or outside on the deck. The ship has a shop, hair salon and offers exercise classes. All meals are included and graciously presented in a smoke-free dining room. Unlimited quality wines from Europe’s most famous wine regions are included with every dinner.
Cabins have twin beds, private bathroom (shower only), hairdryer, phone, safe, TV with satellite, in-house video channels and climate control. Cabins on Haydn Deck have a panoramic window that cannot be opened. Cabins on the Strauss and Mozart Decks are larger, with panoramic windows that can be opened.
