Washington, DC

Departs from Toronto and Hamilton

Tour Highlights

The capital of the U.S.A. is an exciting city combining grand government buildings with monuments, memorials and museums.
A city steeped in history, power, intrigue and beauty, Washington has broad, tree-lined streets and imposing monuments of founders and heroes, as well as the White House - home to all the U.S. Presidents since 1800.

We enjoy our first taste of history en route to Washington as we visit the Gettysburg National Military Park. The famous battle here was a turning point in the Civil War, and was the inspiration for President Abraham Lincoln's immortal "Gettysburg Address".

Our touring in Washington includes the well-known highlights: Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, Capitol Hill, the Korean and Vietnam War Memorials, Arlington National Cemetery  and more. We also have the opportunity to visit one of the 19 museums that are part of the Smithsonian Institute.

Our hotel in the Washington area will be the First Class Hilton McLean Tyson Corner, located in McLean, Virginia - a quick drive from Washington just over the Potomac River. The hotel has a restaurant, fitness centre and indoor pool, and all guest rooms have a TV, coffee maker, hair dryer and complimentary wireless internet.

After our visit of Washington we travel to the City of Brotherly Love — Philadelphia. Our touring here will shows us the birthplace of American independence, including the historic Liberty Bell – Philadelphia’s landmark as well as Independence Hall where the Declaration of Independence was signed.
