The local “Canarios” are a friendly people made up of a blend of Spanish and South American heritage with a touch of African influence.

We will stay on the largest island of Tenerife with its sandy beaches, cosmopolitan cities, historic towns, small villages, huge expanse of National Park and the highest mountain in Spain - the towering Mount Teide.

Our hotel for this relaxing holiday is the First Class Hotel Best Semiramis situated on the north coast of Tenerife in the peaceful area of La Paz, approximately 1.5 km from the center of Puerto de la Cruz and popular Lago Martiánez - an open-air swimming pool complex and leisure park centered around an artificial lake with several islands, gardens, restaurants, bars and terraces. The hotel itself features lovely sub-tropical gardens and facilities include a main buffet-style restaurant with “show cooking” offering local and international cuisine, a lounge and pool bar, a heated pool, freshwater pool and jacuzzi. There is a fitness centre, full-service spa, gift shop, beauty salon and games room. The spacious and airy guest rooms are all seaview with a balcony or terrace.
Several evenings a week there is live music and WiFi is complimentary throughout the hotel.

Due to flight scheduling, we will overnight in Dublin on the way home from Tenerife.

* Those joining any of our tours to Europe must be able to walk fairly long distances and climb stairs easily.

Orotava Valley / Los Realejos.

We enjoy the panoramic view of the Orotava Valley, and visit La Orotava’s Town Hall Square, the Church of La Concepción and Casa de Los Balcones. In Los Realejos we see the Church of Santiago Apóstol then returning along the picturesque north coast.

National Park Las Canadas del Teide

We drive through lush tropical scenery to Las Canadas National Park - one of the world’s largest craters. Enjoy spectacular views of volcanic Mount Teide and the “Roque Garcia”, rock formations.

Santa Cruz / Teresitas

We visit the capital of the island - the port city of Santa Cruz, which features old-world charm and beautiful parks and gardens. We will see the typical squares and buildings of the city, such as Plaza de España, Church of the Concepcion, Calle la Noria, Cabildo Insular de Tenerife and Auditorium de Tenerife.

Tacoronte / La Laguna

We visit the colourful and historic Sunday agriculture market in Tacoronte, then visit one of the prettiest towns in Tenerife - La Laguna. Our walking tour of the town takes us to the old town centre with its narrow streets flanked by pastel-hued houses, inviting cafes, and quaint shops.

Icod de los Vinos / Garachico

We visit Icod de los Vinos to see the famous thousand-year old “dragon” tree, then proceed to Garachico - a charming town in a deep valley flanked by forested slopes and a rocky coastline. We will enjoy the panoramic views of the town, then continue to El Tanque for an optional camel ride!

We take a scenic drive to the mountaintop village of Masca, and enjoy the stunning views of the land and sea, the cliffside buildings and the small local museum. Isolated for centuries, Masca is like stepping back in time.
