We will cruise in luxury aboard the Royal Princess, a floating resort with all the amenities of a 5-star resort hotel. Itinerary / Excursions

Day 1: Departure / Anchorage

We depart for Anchorage, Alaska with a change of planes in Vancouver. Upon arrival we transfer to our ship. This evening we enjoy our first meal aboard, and the only challenge is deciding what to order while our amazing surroundings provide so much to see.

Day 2: Hubbard Glacier (Scenic Cruising)

Hubbard Glacier is the longest tidewater glacier in Alaska, extending 76 miles from its source on Mt. Logan in the Yukon. You will hear the creaks and groans as this very active glacier advances. There will be exciting moments when the huge chunks of ice crash into the bay creating a wonderful sound the local natives call “white thunder”

Day 3: Glacier Bay National Park (Scenic Cruising)

Today is a highlight of our cruise. Under a blanket of silence we gaze upon the ice cliffs and their changing colours of blue, green, white and grey, as we look and listen for the massive slabs of ice to crash into the water. You’ll want to make sure you are out on the deck to watch for seals and whales.

Day 4: Skagway

Enjoy the Gold Rush atmosphere of Skagway, home base for the stampeders whose dreams led them to the Yukon. Consider going on one of the optional tours, like panning for gold, or board a vintage railcar on the White Pass Scenic Railway (highly recommended). Otherwise, explore the historic district on foot or by streetcar, and browse the shops and saloons in town.

Day 5: Juneau

Step back in time to the spot where Joe Juneau and Dick Harris found gold nuggets “as large as beans”. See relics of the gold mines that brought wealth to the town even before the Klondike Gold Rush. Optional excursions will be offered to see the awesome Mendenhall Glacier.

Day 6: Ketichikan

Southeast Alaska’s “First City” is as picturesque as they come, as much of Ketchikan is built on pilings over the water. Stroll down historic Creek Street to Dolly’s House, or venture outside town to see a forest of hand-carved totem poles. This is also your gateway to Misty Fjords National Monument.

Day 7: At Sea

A day to relax or enjoy the world of exciting activities on board our ship, from cooking demonstrations to dance contests and wine tasting.

Day 8: Vancouver

This morning we disembark our ship in Vancouver and proceed on a tour of this beautiful city, including famed Stanley Park, Gastown, Chinatown and more. After our tour we will enjoy dinner and an overnight in a centrally located hotel.

Day 9: Home

After breakfast we transfer to the airport for our flight home.
