We depart for London.
We arrive in London and transfer to Southampton where we board our ship. This evening is our first delicious dinner onboard.
This tiny island is a natural harbour that was used for over 500 years by the British Royal Navy. One of the optional excursions offered is the Abbotsbury Swannery, the only place in the world where you can walk freely through colonies of nesting mute swans. Other options include a visit to the 13th century gothic Salisbury Cathedral, and mythical Stonehenge.
The Channel Islands are exceptionally picturesque and they also have a fascinating history. We disembark at the historic fortress of St. Peters Port - a lovely town in which to stroll. You may want to visit The Little Chapel of Guernsey - a charming old church decorated with pebbles, seashells and broken china.
Today we will have a chance to kiss the famous Blarney Stone, and then stroll along Cork’s lively pedestrian shopping street. Optional tours will be offered to see some of Ireland’s other remarkable landmarks, as well as the wonderful green countryside.
A full day to explore the charms of Dublin, Ireland’s capital city. Walk around the beautiful 18th century Georgian Squares and houses, the 12th century St. Patrick's Cathedral and Leister House (the Irish parliament).
There are many attractions to see in and around this great city, including the gothic Glasgow Cathedral, Inverary Castle and the cottage of the poet Robert Burns. An optional tour will be offered to the glorious highlands to see the mountains and heather.
Northern Ireland’s capital is a beautiful city of imposing Victorian architecture set within picturesque hills. See the grand City Hall, Opera House, the Stormont Parliament Buildings and beautiful parks. You may also want to go visit the Giant’s Causeway - a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
A welcome day of rest following many days of sightseeing.
Welcome to the capital of the Scottish Highlands - gateway to Loch Ness. Here you will enjoy the history, beauty and the legends of the Highlands dating back to the 13th century. You may choose to go and see the ruins of the Dunrobin and Urquhart Castles, or go shopping for tartans and tweeds. Perhaps an optional tour to Loch Ness and the opportunity to look for Nessie. Have your camera ready in case you have a sighting!
A day to relax, watch the passing seascape and enjoy the endless array of activities and entertainment onboard our ship.
The beaches of Normandy are home to many World War Two landmarks. You will have an opportunity to visit them, or join an optional tour to Paris.
We disembark in the morning in Southampton and proceed to London for a panoramic sightseeing tour. Highlights include Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge, Big Ben, the Tower of London, St. Paul’s Cathedral, the Canadian War Memorial and much more. Our tour finishes at our centrally located hotel where we will have some time at leisure before dinner.
We transfer to the airport for our flight back to Canada.
