This region, between New Orleans, Memphis and Nashville, is the musical birthplace of Country, Blues, Jazz and Rock n’ Roll. We begin with a 4-night stay in Nashville – the “Country Music Capital of the World”. Our stay at the Gaylord Opryland Resort depicts the spirit of the Holiday Season with more than two-million dazzling lights. We’ll visit Honky Tonk Row, The Grand Ole Opry and enjoy some musical productions including one at the famous Ryman Auditorium!
Then it’s off to Memphis - “Birthplace of the Blues” and “Home of Rock n’ Roll”. Of course en route we will stop at Graceland to visit the residence of Elvis Presley. In Memphis we will stay 2 nights near the famous Peabody Hotel where we can view the delightful “Peabody Duck March” – ongoing daily since the 1930’s! A Mojo Tour (led by Memphis musicians) will have us laughing and singing along, as we tour the city, including Beale Street, Sun Studios and more.
After a stay in the beautiful antebellum town of Natchez, Mississippi we proceed to New Orleans for our final 4 nights. The city that gave the world Jazz, Bourbon Street, Creole culture and Oysters Rockefeller has a style all its own. Our stay will include a tour with a visit to one of New Orleans’ unique cemeteries, a New Years Eve Dinner with Jazz entertainment, a Jazz Cruise along the Mississippi and more. Enjoy the holiday spirit as you stroll in the romantic old-world streets, Jackson Square or The French Market. Our First Class hotel, the Maison Dupuy, is centrally located right in the French Quarter near a host of world famous restaurants.
