Tour Highlights

  • Orientation of Puerto de la Cruz and Orotava Valley: We begin in Puerto de la Cruz, where our walking tour will show us places like Plaza del Charco, the Church of Nuestra Señora de la Peña, and the Muelle Viejo. Then we’ll proceed to the Orotava Valley, where we’ll take in the panoramic view at Humbolt Viewpoint, and explore the cobbled streets in the old quarter of the historic and artistic town of La Villa de La Orotava.
  • National Park Las Canadas del Teide: We drive through lush tropical scenery to Las Canadas National Park—one of the world’s largest craters. Enjoy spectacular views of volcanic Mount Teide and the “Roque Garcia”, rock formations.
  • Santa Cruz / Anaga / Las Teresitas (full day):Our first stop will be Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the capital of the island. We will walk through its vibrant streets that will take us to the most outstanding places, such as the Plaza de España, Plaza Weyler or the Market of Nuestra Señora de África. You will have time to have lunch and taste the rich Canarian gastronomy in one of the charming restaurants of the city. We will continue our way into the Anaga Massif, an impressive natural area that was declared a Biosphere Reserve in 2015 by UNESCO for its extraordinary biodiversity. Here we will visit some of its most representative viewpoints, such as the Mirador de la Jardina and the Mirador Cruz del Carmen. We will end the day at Las Teresitas Beach, known for its golden sand from the Sahara and its calm, crystal-clear waters. After the visit, return to the hotel.
  • La Gomera (full day): Our excursion to the island of La Gomera will take in the Hermigua Valley, the village of Agulo (for lunch in a traditional restaurant), Garajonay National Park (UNESCO World Heritage Site), Laguna Grande (where it is said the ancient witches of the island used to meet), the imposing Roque de Agando (a steep volcanic lava formation), and San Sebastián (site of the final strongholds of Christopher Columbus before sailing to North America).
  • La Laguna: We visit the university town of La Laguna (a World Heritage Site), for a walking tour of the old town centre with its narrow streets, pastel-hued houses, inviting cafés and quaint shops.
  • Icod / Marachico / Masca (full day): On this tour we will visit three of the most representative places in the north of Tenerife: Icod de los Vinos, Garachico and Masca. In Icod de los Vinos we will have the opportunity to contemplate the famous Drago Milenario: a specimen of drake (Dracaena Draco) which is thought to be approximately 800 years old. It is a symbol of the island and one of the oldest specimens of its kind. Here we will have time to have lunch and enjoy the rich Canarian gastronomy. We will visit Garachico, included in the list of the “most beautiful villages of Spain”, where the most important port of the island was once located, until it was partially destroyed by a volcanic eruption in 1706. Nowadays it has a rich architectural heritage from the 16th and 17th centuries that is very well preserved, which is why its historic quarter was declared an Asset of Cultural Interest in 1994, and is one of the most representative of the Canary Islands. Finally, we enter the Teno Rural Park until we reach the hamlet of Masca, a small village surrounded by ravines and nature, which stands out for its traditional Canarian architecture and its impressive beauty.
  • Island Tour (full day): We will start our excursion to the village of Candelaria, home of the Patron Saint of the Canary Islands: the Virgin of Candelaria, known as “la morenita”. Here you will also have the opportunity to see the imposing bronze statues commemorating the ancient menceyes (Guanche kings) of Tenerife. We will continue along the southeast coast of the island, passing by places like Los Cristianos, Las Américas, Playa San Juan or Playa de la Arena. We will arrive at the Mirador de Los Gigantes, where we will be able to admire the majestic cliffs with their vertiginous vertical walls that fall into the ocean from heights ranging from 300 to 600 metres. We will cross the villages of Tamaimo and Santiago del Teide until we reach Erjos, where we will stop for a camel ride and have time for lunch before returning to the hotel.
