Tour Highlights

  • Villajoyosa: Our visit to the pretty coastal village of Villajoyosa starts with a walking tour of the charming old quarter, where we will see the colourful fishermen’s houses along the beach. We will also visit the factory and museum of Chocolates Valor (with a sampling, of course!) before returning to Benidorm.
  • Guadalest: This beautiful medieval village is located in the centre of one of the most picturesque valleys of the Costa Blanca. We will explore its fascinating old town, a fine example of southern Spain’s Arab history, then stop at the Belem Museum of Miniatures.
  • Novelda & Bodega Winery: We will head to the city of Novelda, famous for its magnificent vineyards and beautiful marble. A visit to the 8th century Arabic-Christian Castle will be followed by a tour of a wine cellar and a tasting of local Alicante wine.
  • North Coast: We will take a trip along Costa Blanca’s north coast to see picturesque towns and villages, with a visit to the famous church of the Virgin de Loreto.
  • Murcia: We will visit this typical Spanish town to see its famed cathedral, visit the Orchard Ethnology Museum, then have some free time for shopping along the charming streets and in the famous El Corte Ingles department store.
  • Alicante: Starting with the town’s delightful palm-fringed promenade paved in marble, we will see Santa Barbara Castle, the cathedral and the town hall, which houses the beautiful Salvador Dalí statue of Saint John. There will be free time for those who wish to visit the Modern Art Museum.
  • Elche: Spain’s “palm capital” is the source for dried palm fronds used in Easter celebrations. We’ll see a palm forest, planted centuries ago by the Moors, and explore the ruins of the castle and surrounding gardens in the old quarter. Since Elche is also Spain’s shoe capital, we’ll visit a shoe factory, where we’ll enjoy a local liqueur and see a demonstration.
  • Valencia: Our final tour will take us to the third-largest city in Spain, where we will see the old quarter with its 14th century cathedral, La Lonja (the silk exchange) UNESCO World Heritage site, Plaza Mercado, and the beautiful bridges over the river that runs through the city. We overnight in Valencia before the morning flight home.
