After a morning free to explore the city, we will head to our ship, with a light lunch available onboard. In the evening, we will enjoy a special Welcome Dinner and Hungarian folklore show with the backdrop of the illuminated city.

In the morning, we will explore Budapest’s two famous sections: Buda and Pest. In Buda, we will see the Great Market Hall, iconic Baroque buildings, and Heroes’ Square, famous for its monuments to Hungarian kings. Then we cross to Pest to see St. Matthew Church and the Fishermen’s Bastion. After lunch, we’re off on a coach tour to the Hungarian countryside to explore the artists’ town of Szentendre and visit Esztergom, the country’s former capital. We set sail in the evening.

We arrive in Slovakia’s lovely capital in the morning, just in time to take a walking tour of the city. We will pass St. Martin’s Cathedral, where former kings were crowned, get a glimpse of Grassalkovich Palace, walk through the stunning old town and sample famous Pressburger rolls with nut and poppy seed filling.

There is so much to see in the Imperial City—palaces and art museums, the stunning opera house, the Court Theatre and Vienna’s imposing city hall. We will take a panoramic drive followed by a guided walk through the beautiful city centre, starting at the Hofburg Imperial Palace, through the Kohl Market, to the iconic St. Stephen’s cathedral. This evening we will attend the “Sound of Vienna” classical concert, with waltzes, polkas, arias and duets, operettas and piano concerto melodies to awaken the senses and soothe the soul.

Today we will dock in the quaint village of Dürnstein, a hidden gem in the heart of the magnificent Wachau Valley. You will see breathtaking scenery, traditional architecture and have a chance to try the local specialty: apricots and wine. Next our coach will take us to Melk Abbey, one of the world’s most famous monasteries, with a guided tour through the church, the abbot’s chambers, and the impressive library, which has countless medieval manuscripts and frescoes.

Today we explore Austria’s cultural capital with a walking tour through the city’s historic streets, ending on a sweet note—with a delicious Linzer Torte tasting. Later in the afternoon, join our active hiking tour to Pöstlingberg, a 1,768-foot high hill with a viewing platform over the city.

After breakfast, we will take a tour of old town Passau, exploring winding alleyways and Baroque masterpieces in this three-river city. In the afternoon, we will visit 800-year-old Veste Oberhaus— one of the largest preserved castle complexes in Europe. Back on board, we will take part in a fun Bavarian evening with live music and regional delicacies. The ship will remain in Passau overnight.

We disembark after breakfast and enjoy a scenic country drive to Prague. On the way, we stop in Pilzen, best known for producing Pilsner beer. Then it’s off to Prague, where we check into our hotel for the final 3 nights of the tour.

The day begins with a tour of this stunning city, its UNESCO World Heritage site old town, 1,000-year-old Prague Castle, St. Vitus, the Charles Bridge and Old Market Square. The rest of the day is at leisure—a perfect time to relax in one of the city’s many charming cafés. This evening is a Czech folklore dinner show, where we will experience local music, dance and traditions

A free day to explore and experience wonderful Prague on your own, ending with our Farewell Dinner at the hotel
