Ancient doorways swathed with garlands. Carollers and bright holly berries, sips of warm cider and twinkling holiday lights. Is there anything more magical than Christmastime in England?
The first 3 nights of this splendid seasonal tour will be spent in the quaint and historic market and cathedral town of Bury St. Edmunds, the cultural and retail centre for West Suffolk, and a perfect hub for exploring this region. From there, we head to the birthplace of Shakespeare, Stratford-upon-Avon. This is the perfect setting for soaking up the enchantment of the season and exploring the surrounding areas.
Highlights of our tour include the UK’s biggest holiday performance in Thursford, and a city tour of London. We’ll shop, dine and have fun at the largest Christmas market outside of Germany and Austria, enjoy delicious Christmas luncheons, and a performance in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. Our final 4 nights will be in charming Winchester, England’s ancient capital and former seat of King Alfred the Great.
This unique tour is the perfect way to put yourself in the holiday spirit—and see some of England’s most spectacular places, all decked out for the season.
