We begin and end in Tbilisi, Georgia, a key station on the
famous Silk Road. The city’s old town is renowned for its
wonderful mix of cultures, and its charming wooden houses and sulphur baths have hosted poets, musicians and kings through the centuries. We will explore incredible cave villages carved into mountains, visit towns with fascinating histories, and see the breathtaking Great Caucasus Mountains. We will dine with local families, try wines from some of the world’s oldest vineyards, and explore incredible architectural complexes, noble residences, churches and monasteries.
Our tour includes Armenia, a country of beautiful mountains and valleys, arid land and lush forests. We will tour their capital, Yerevan, one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited cities, visit Khor Virap Monastery with fantastic views of Mt. Ararat, explore medieval Haghartsin, marvel at Lake Sevan, and more.
