Activity Level 2: Moderate

Moderate pace with leisurely intermittent walks up to 2 hours on a variety of terrain, including cobblestones and moderate hills. Must be able to climb at least two flights of stairs, negotiate steps without railings and tolerate periods of standing during guided tours. Some days may include 3–5 km of walking over the course of the day.

Tour Highlights

  • A half day tour of Palma to discover the history and architecture of the city, including a visit of Castle of Bellver, the Cathedral, and the Old Quarter.
  • A full day tour to the Port of Pollensa. Included will be a stop at Mirador de Es Colomer for views of the mountains and sea.
  • A full day tour to Valldemosa, where Chopin wrote some of his finest compositions. We will also visit both the Port of Sollera and Alfabia Gardens, and enjoy a visit to an olive oil mill, and tasting.
  • Today we explore the famous Caves of Drachs with their peculiar stalagmites, grottos, and the largest underground lake in Europe. We will also visit the charming fishing village of Porto Christo.
  • A half-day visit of the colourful local market in the village of Sineau at the very centre of Majorca, typical of the quaint, rural communities that can be found on the island.
  • Half day tour to Els Calderers, a beautiful 13th century mansion surrounded by lush vegetation, beautiful gardens, and natural fountains. Greatly valued in Roman times for the vast quantity of water which flowed here, it still has a magnificent natural spring. A tasting of “sorbrasada” (a paprika flavoured sausage spread) is included.
