There’s so much to explore here—an efficient and affordable bus system makes it easy to get around and take in everything this island has to offer, including Valetta’s picturesque harbour, colourful markets, the narrow streets of Sliema, and the stunning Blue Grotto.
We stay at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel, a seaside resort located in Qawra on the promenade overlooking the Bay of St. Paul. The small town of Buġibba is just a few minutes walk from the hotel and offers many shops, cafés, bars and restaurants. Facilities of the hotel include a variety of restaurants, a lounge and bar, fitness centre with sauna, an indoor heated pool and outdoor pool surrounded by stunning terraces.
There is live music performed nightly and a full-service Casino. Each guest room is comfortably furnished with a contemporary design and overlooks the sea. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.

- Orientation Walking Tour: We will enjoy an orientation stroll through the area around our resort, located in a lively seaside town with beaches, bars, restaurants, and hotels
- Harbour Cruise: We will enjoy a cruise around Valletta’s historic Grand Harbour, one of the greatest natural harbours in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Take in the beautiful views and learn about the harbour’s long history, which includes two of the most epic sieges the world has known. After our cruise we will enjoy lunch in a local restaurant, as well as a tour of a winery.
- Valletta 1: We will take an orientation tour of the walled capital city of Valletta, which includes a viewing of The Malta Experience, an audiovisual spectacular that tells the story of 7,000 years of Maltese history. We will visit the scenic Upper Barrakka Gardens, then stop at St. John’s Co-Cathedral, one of the finest examples of high Baroque architecture in Europe.
- Valletta 2: We will do more fascinating sightseeing in Valletta, with a stop at the gracious Grandmaster’s Palace, built over 400 years ago for a Knight of Malta and still the ancestral home of a Maltese noble family. We will also visit the Manoel Theatre and explore the National Archaeological Museum, which has artifacts dating back to 2500 BC.
- Malta—Grand Island Tour: On this full-day tour, we go beyond Valletta to see more of this remarkable island. We will visit St. Paul’s Catacombs in Rabat, with extensive underground galleries and tombs dating back thousands of years. We will also explore medieval Mdina, and find out why it is called “the Silent City.” Today we will also enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, and a visit to the Benedictine Monastery.
- Marsaxlokk: On this tour, we will visit Malta’s largest and most picturesque fishing village. It’s an ancient place that was used as a port by Phoenicians and Carthaginians and has the remains of a Roman-era harbour. See the vividly painted luzzu (fishing boats) bobbing in the clear blue waters: most have the eye of Osiris painted on the bow to ward off evil at sea.
- Island of Gozo: We will enjoy a full-day tour to Gozo, Malta’s sister island, a small, peaceful place that has barely changed in hundreds of years. We will pass by hidden beaches and family farms, picturesque churches and beautiful vistas. Lunch is included.
- Folklore Dinner Show: We will enjoy an evening discovering Malta’s rich customs and enjoying its diverse flavours. The evening includes a delicious dinner and entertaining folklore show, with dancers in traditional costumes telling the story of Malta’s long history.
- Half Day Excursion: Pick up from the hotel for a half day guided excursion visiting: Mosta Church, St. Paul’s Bay & Ghajn Tuffieha Bay.
-Holiday Celebrations: We will celebrate the holidays with a Gala Christmas dinner and a Christmas Day Lunch. We will ring in the New Year with a festive Gala NYE Dinner & Party with open bar and live band.
