Arrive in Vienna and transfer to your hotel before a delicious Welcome Dinner.

Visit Schönbrunn Palace, Empress Maria Theresa’s summer residence, with its opulent gardens and the panoramic Gloriette pavilion. Enjoy afternoon free time for personal exploration. Lunch and dinner are at local restaurants.

Tour Bratislava, Slovakia’s capital. Marvel at its stunning Gothic-Baroque old town and Grassalkovich Palace. A guided walking tour of the restored old town includes Primatial Palace, St. Martin’s Cathedral, Academia Istropolitana, Opera House, and Maximilian Fountain. After lunch, visit the Baroque Schloss Hof palace, once owned by Empress Maria Theresa, renowned for its splendid gardens.

In the morning, visit Szentendre, an artists’ village home to popular galleries and museums like the Margit Kovács Museum. Continue to Visegrad’s ruined fortress for a panoramic view of Danube’s “knee”. Next, explore Esztergom, the former Hungarian kings’ residence, seat of the Archbishop, and Hungary’s largest cathedral, boasting an ornate red marble chapel. Later, arrive in Budapest, the “Queen of the Danube,” and tour the Great Market Hall, Hungarian State Opera, Parliament, and Heroes’ Square. On Castle Hill, see St. Matthew’s Church and Fisherman’s Bastion, offering stunning city views, before returning to the ship.

Tour Vukovar, passing Baroque mansions and delving into Croatian daily life, enroute to Kopački Rit Nature Park. Enjoy a boat tour through the scenic wetlands, and visit Kopačevo village to see traditional fishing and taste Croatian delicacies. After lunch, explore Topola, site of the 1804 national uprising, and Karadjordje’s Fortress. Sail through the “Iron Gates,” a stunning gorge on the Serbia-Romania border. Witness the majestic “Cazan” where the Danube narrows, offering captivating views of the Carpathian and Balkan Mountains. Marvel at sights like the Mraconia Abbey Church and the colossal 55-metre-high rock sculpture of King Decebalus, Europe’s largest stone sculpture, towering over the Danube.

Explore Veliko Tarnovo, the “City of Tsars,” a medieval riverside town set against the Balkan Mountains, known for its terraced, steep slopes and picturesque views. Visit the historic fortress of Zarewez, the well-preserved 13th-century Church of St. Peter and Paul, and peruse local arts and crafts.

Journey through the Danube Delta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Cruise along St. George’s Canal, where the Danube meets the Black Sea, to the fishing village of St. George. Embark on a Delta boat safari to experience the area’s natural beauty and diverse wildlife. Conclude the evening with the festive Gala Captain’s Dinner.

Disembark the ship and transfer to your hotel. Later, enjoy a city tour and lunch in a local restaurant. In the evening, partake in local specialties at your delicious Farewell Dinner.

Transfer to the airport and fly home via Frankfurt.
